this gives massive “welcome to the cumzone” vibes, its amazing

X3LL3N responds:

If this is @singpiano's first ever frontpage, you bet I'm gonna "rub it" in his face ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I unironically love this version better than the spotify version, the way the distortion gets fucked is kinda satisfying

six impala type cover art, really cool song tho, im loving the atmosphere and sound design, only real complaint is that the snare sounds really goofy

Synami responds:

Thank you! I thought it'd be more likely for people to complain about the clicky kick. :p

Wooah you got frontpage, congrats mate!! This song slaps too, production overall is very proffesional and it flows nicely throughout its runtime. Good job!!!

Wooah this slaps! The two genres actually blend really well, props to making it work. Sound design in general is absoloutly top notch, especially the wobbly basses n shit. Amazing remix, will check out the rest of your discog!!

CrowdDoll responds:

Damn thanks

Damn, how did I miss this!! This is incredible, the melody progresses so naturally, and the key changes work in its favor a ton! I like how it balances between adventurous and melodic, its a really thin line but you've seemed to nail it! Just, keep on making these mini stories, they're incredible and I really dont find much music like this being made nowadays.

ChronoNomad responds:

Whoa, you totally showed up! Suffice to say, your review has definitely brightened up my day. I can't say how you missed this either, especially since I almost always make something for Pixel Day, but I'm glad that you found your way here. Your kind words are generous and encouraging, and I truly appreciate your patronage. Thanks, man.

Those are some spicy chops my god--

THE RETURN!!!
This is a really nice little beat you made here. I love the main melody and how it progresses as always, even in only a minute and a half you make it feel like a story, which is really impressive. I love the guitars especially, theyre a really nice touch.
If I had to critique anything, it'd be that the snare design seems like it would be used for something more upbeat, but its low enough in the mix for me to give it a pass.
Overall, this just has this really nice and relaxing atmosphere that I don't often see, I can see myself using this to clear my head for whatever reason. Hats off to you, you're always great at making atmosphere and this is no exception!

ChronoNomad responds:

Who, what? Oh...me! Yes, I suppose it's been a hot minute since I dropped a track here on good ol' Newgrounds. I'm never too far away, though.

Thanks a bunch for the lovely review, and oddly enough I've gone rather back and forth on that snare. I mostly like it, but at times it doesn't seem like the perfect fit. In the end, I just decided to accept my ambivalence as an inevitable part of the process and moved forward with submission. And here you are! So, all in all, I'm glad that I did.

It's so nice to hear that listeners enjoy the relaxed mood and borderline minimalist lack of instrumental clutter. It's totally a vibe. Hey, wait a minute--are you even wearing a hat? xD

Really love the musical storytelling in this one! My favorite part of this is that, even though there is a set-in-stone story in the description, it can be interpreted in multiple different ways. The melody really does the concept justice IMO, it's so nice and progressive (not too unexpected coming from you XD), and I think the chiptune elements compliment it well. The drums are nice and soft which makes sense for this tune (though maybe a bit more clarity near the climactic moments would have been nice), and overall this song is just a really nice little musical story! Great job, probably one of my favs of yours beside The View From Here. I look forward to more pixely stories from you in the future :D

ChronoNomad responds:

Ayyy, it's my boy Ackee39! Long time no see, mate. Thanks a bunch for dropping this sweet review on me, out of a clear blue sky no less. ^__^

Musical storytelling is a whole lot of fun, and while there's always some kind of theme in the back of my mind when I'm composing, these video game-inspired tracks always remind me of growing up playing the classics. To hear that this is one of your favorites, alongside The View From Here, is quite the compliment! Thanks for the smile, man. I hope to regale you with much more old school goodness in the future.
