THE RETURN!!!
This is a really nice little beat you made here. I love the main melody and how it progresses as always, even in only a minute and a half you make it feel like a story, which is really impressive. I love the guitars especially, theyre a really nice touch.
If I had to critique anything, it'd be that the snare design seems like it would be used for something more upbeat, but its low enough in the mix for me to give it a pass.
Overall, this just has this really nice and relaxing atmosphere that I don't often see, I can see myself using this to clear my head for whatever reason. Hats off to you, you're always great at making atmosphere and this is no exception!
Who, what? Oh...me! Yes, I suppose it's been a hot minute since I dropped a track here on good ol' Newgrounds. I'm never too far away, though.
Thanks a bunch for the lovely review, and oddly enough I've gone rather back and forth on that snare. I mostly like it, but at times it doesn't seem like the perfect fit. In the end, I just decided to accept my ambivalence as an inevitable part of the process and moved forward with submission. And here you are! So, all in all, I'm glad that I did.
It's so nice to hear that listeners enjoy the relaxed mood and borderline minimalist lack of instrumental clutter. It's totally a vibe. Hey, wait a minute--are you even wearing a hat? xD
Really love the musical storytelling in this one! My favorite part of this is that, even though there is a set-in-stone story in the description, it can be interpreted in multiple different ways. The melody really does the concept justice IMO, it's so nice and progressive (not too unexpected coming from you XD), and I think the chiptune elements compliment it well. The drums are nice and soft which makes sense for this tune (though maybe a bit more clarity near the climactic moments would have been nice), and overall this song is just a really nice little musical story! Great job, probably one of my favs of yours beside The View From Here. I look forward to more pixely stories from you in the future :D
Ayyy, it's my boy Ackee39! Long time no see, mate. Thanks a bunch for dropping this sweet review on me, out of a clear blue sky no less. ^__^
Musical storytelling is a whole lot of fun, and while there's always some kind of theme in the back of my mind when I'm composing, these video game-inspired tracks always remind me of growing up playing the classics. To hear that this is one of your favorites, alongside The View From Here, is quite the compliment! Thanks for the smile, man. I hope to regale you with much more old school goodness in the future.

Woah dude, this is incredible! I always loved your work but this feels like such a step up! I also love the lil dnb switchup at the end. You have not dissapointed, great job!
Also, heard about the whole impersonating thing... are they still selling your music or have you taken them down yet?
Appreciate that. Yeah it's been handled, I did official releases on all the platforms they impersonated me on, then claimed their uploads and had them removed.
Very nice melody and structuring, and how the song changes moods a lot. Only thing is this is not remotely drum and bass
Thanks!
I have no idea about genres but i looked up what genre is 170bpm(it seems slow but it is) and dnb is in that area
Finally, a song named after me!
I guess that means that it is somewhat relatable? If so, then I'm glad, because that was the intention of this piece. Since I do suffer from it myself as well, I wanted to put these feelings into music and to express myself through it. More of that kind of music coming soon.
When a joke song is 10 times better than anything I'll ever make
